Hello everyone! Today I have a project to share with you that I created for the Miss Kate Cuttables Blog. I just got a new Cricut Explore Air during the launch on HSN. I was really excited when it arrived so I decided to use it to create my project for Miss Kate. Since I’m really new to all of the workings of this awesome machine I wanted to keep my project simple so I created my first Easter card. Here is the file that I used for my project.
And here is the card that I created.
Instead of using all of the cuts from the eggs I wanted to cut them with some design paper. So I just used the back layer.
I also wanted my Easter eggs to come out of the basket so I created little photo mats out of them.
I used lots of dimension to the front part of the basket. I stamped my sentiment on some kraft paper and punched it out with an oval punch and layered it on a scalloped oval punch. I added a couple of homemade enamel dots as well.
I added some design paper to the inside of the card to finish it off and added some more homemade enamel dots.
That’s my card. I hope you like it. I’m still learning about my new Cricut Explore Air. It’s a pretty amazing machine! Have a great week!

OMG Your Easter Basket turned out so beautiful and cute. WOW you sure came up with lots of clever and creative ideas too. You really did one super outstanding creative job and the colors are are so pretty.
YOU ROCK!!
Pretty amazing creation for the first try on a new machine!
I have just a plain Cricut and rarely use it, what’s different about your new one?

Hi Ginger. I have a question. Does the Cricut Air cut medium wt. chipboard?
Thanks!
Regina
Super cute card Ginger! Isn’t the Explore awesome?!! It cuts like a dream on small cuts too. Have fun playing with your Explore Air! Hugs, Brenda
It’s a great machine. I hope in the future you will show us how to make some mini albums on it.
