Hey everyone! Hope you are having a good day so far. The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week was to make a child’s birthday card using something you would see in a jungle. Here’s my entry.
My card measures 6-1/2 x 5 inches. I cut a purple mat that measures 6-1/4 x 4-3/4 inches and a patterned paper mat that measures 6×4-1/2 inches. I used the Create A Critter Cartridge to cut the zebra at 4-1/2 inches.
I added a strip of green design paper at the bottom and a piece of lavender ribbon at the top. I layered together a few prima flowers with a zebra print brad for the center.
I stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment and added it to the inside of the card along with a strip of the design paper.
Thanks for looking!

Well here is the tutorial for the hairband binding that I have had several folks request. I learned how to do this type of binding from Belinda Akers. She gave me permission to do this tutorial. Thanks Belinda!
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey everyone, just want to share my entry for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge was “Birthday Bash”. We were to make a birthday project. I decided to create a card. Here is what I came up with.
My card measures 5 x 6-1/2 inches. I used the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge for the Hippo on the front of my card. He is cut at 4-1/2 inches.
I found a cute little party hat and pinwheel on the same cartridge, however I just wanted to cut the party hat so I used my Gypsy to hide the pinwheel cut.
The green patterned mat measures 4-3/4 x 6-1/4 inches. I added some hot pink tiny rick rack to the top of the card and stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment onto ivory cardstock then used my circle punch to cut it out.
I added a piece of the design paper that I had edge punched to the inside of the card to finish it off.
Well, that’s it! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies used:
Cardstock – American Crafts
Design Paper – K&Co Confetti
rick rack trim – Michaels
Stamp – Michaels

Happy Friday! Here is another card I created. I used the birdhouse image and tree branch image from the Serenade Cricut Cartridge.
The card measures 5 x 6-1/2 inches. The blue mat is cut at 4-3/4 x 6-1/4 inches. The birdhouse was cut at 4-1/2 inches and the tree branch was cut at 2-1/4 inches.
I wanted the center hole of the birdhouse to be a different color so I used a 1 inch circle punch to do this.
The pattern paper is from DCWV Baby Girl Stack and the blue mat is Bo Bunny Double Dot. I added a small cloud that is cut from the Cricut Imagine Stock Images.
The cloud is cut at 1-1/2 inches. I inked around the cloud with some Broken China Distress Ink. I stamped my sentiment on the cloud with some brown Staz-On ink.
Have a great weekend!

Hey everyone, here is another card I created using the Kate’s ABC’s Cricut Cartridge. I love this cartridge. There are several hat images on this cartridge so that’s what I decided to cut out.
The card measures 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches. The green pattern mat is 4 x 5-1/4 inches and the pink pattern mat is 3-3/4 x 5 inches. The paper is from DCWV Baby Girl Stack.
I cut the hat using some Bo Bunny blue dot paper and cut the image at 2-3/4 inches. The flower trim centers were so small that I used some buttons for the centers.
I added dimension to the card by adhering the hat to the card with foam tape. I used blue ribbon with white dots at the top of the card.
That’s it, thanks for stopping by.
