Well here it is Thursday and I wanted to share the card I created for the challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge for this week was to use the colors red, white, and blue on a project.
I used the Cricut Wild Card cartridge for the card. I cut it at 5-1/4 inches on the blackout feature. For the card layers I wanted to have an extra piece of red showing around the star so I cut the layers out at 4-1/4 inches. I used my Gypsy to hide some of the contours on the layers.
For the inside of the card I used the We R Memory Keepers Yankee Doodles design paper. The inside sentiment and the little tag on the front are all from the Yankee Doodles paper line.
And yes, I had to add a little bling to the front. I also wrapped some twine around the star and tied a bow.
There you have it! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday! Just wanted to share a video of a quick summer mini album I created. I got this idea from Laura Dennison at Following the Paper Trail. She did a UStream class showing you how to create this mini album. I used paper from K & Co Sweet Nectar collection. Enjoy!
Hey everyone here’s a card that I made for someone who is having a birthday and also found out she is having a baby. I used the Cricut New Arrival Cartridge to cut out the darling expectant Mommy. She is cut at 5-1/2 inches. The card is 6×5. (click photos twice to enlarge)
I used some design paper from My Minds Eye for the mats on the front of the card and added some flat back pearls. A simple bow from cream colored seam binding finishes off the front.
I added my sentiments to the inside of the card along with a strip of the design paper.
Happy Friday! Here is my page that I created for a page swap that I am participating in over on the Scrap Beach. The theme was tropical and it was to be a 6×6 page.
I thought this page swap would be really fast and super easy for me. Well, I was most definitely wrong. I really struggled with this page.
There was quite a big list of requirements for this page swap and I think that’s where I got stuck. Clearly I have discovered that I don’t like a lot of rules! lol
Anyway this is the page I created. The background paper is from Basic Grey’s Lauderdale collection. I used my Life Is A Beach Cricut cartridge to cut out the titles. I also used a piece of Making Memories Passport collection for my tag and Photo foldout that is tucked inside the pocket.
I used some small seashells for the center of my flowers. The little fish stick pins are from Fancy Pants. The little shirt was created by folding a piece of 4×6 design paper. I added some little button brads to the front of the shirt.
Well, that’s my page. I hope everyone in the swap likes it. I’m off to the post office! Have great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello everyone, here are two more cards for my local scrapbook stores’ Design Team project. The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Summer Time Collection. The first card is a 4×4 square card. The card base is white and I added a red mat which is from the Bo Bunny Dot Paper. The design paper mat is cut at 3-1/2 x 3-1/2.
I added a piece of Bo Bunny dot ribbon to the center of the card. I then layered the watermelon sticker on to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed with my decorative scissors. I then adhered the sticker to my card with some foam tape. Three red bling at the bottom give it a little sparkle. I used two more stickers from the sticker collection to finish off the inside of the card.
The next card is a 5-1/2 x5-1/2 gatefold style. The white card base is cut at 5-1/2 x 11 inches. Then on the 11 inch side you score at 2-3/4 inches and again at 8-1/4 inches. Fold your score lines to the center of your card. I cut 2 pieces of the watermelon design paper at 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 inches.
I added a strip of the green sticker border to one side of the card front. I adhered the bring on the Sunshine sticker to a piece of green cardstock. I placed two red bling on the left side of the sticker. I attached a small piece of Bo Bunny dot ribbon to the other side of the sticker. I added foam tape to only one side of the sun embellishment and attached it to the left side of the card front.
On the inside of the card I layered some design paper to all three sections. The yellow mats are 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 inches and the green stripe is 5-1/4 x 5-1/4. I used my Life Is A Beach Cricut Cartridge and cut the sun at 3 inches. I punched out a white label and added another sticker from the sticker collection to the bottom right hand corner. And yes, I had to add a little bling!

Hey everyone here’s a video of a couple of tiny mini albums that I created using My Minds Eye Meadowlark Collection and the mini baroque die from Tim Holtz. This mini baroque die from Tim Holtz is so stinking cute!
I participated in a 4×4 mini album page swap over at Life on the Scrap Beach using the Bo Bunny Gabrielle Paper. I received all of my pages back from the swap hostess and couldn’t wait to put together the mini album. Everyone did a fabulous job.
