Hello everyone! Hope you had a great memorial weekend! Here is a Design Team project I made for my Local Scrapbook Store.
I used a 12 inch metal star and the new WeR Memory Keepers Yankee Doodle paper line! I love the bright patriotic red, white and blue colors! I made a template to cover the star.
I used random papers from the 6×6 paper pad. This size worked great for covering the star. I did use Modge Podge to adhere the paper to the star.
To create the sign at the bottom I adhered the word family to the design paper. I added some strips of fun ribbon to the bottom of the sign and attached a scallop circle at the end of each piece of ribbon. I cut out my photos with a circle punch and layered them on to the scallop circle. I added some dimension with some pop dots.
You can use sticky strip to adhere the sign to the metal star or you can do as I did and attach small magnets to each corner of the sign. This way you can change out the sign for different occasions.
Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave a comment!
Happy Friday! Just want to share my first canvas project. The canvas is 12×12. The design paper is from The Girls Paperie Vintage Whimsey Collection.
I added a large fabric flower that is from Melissa Frances. The rose trim is from Tim Holtz.
I added a bird nest that I dry brushed with white paint.
I distressed the edges of the paper with my distressing tool and added some Vintage Photo distress ink. The photo mat at the top is 4-1/4 x 6-1/4. Now I just need to add my photo to the mat.
This project was inspired by a project Celia Pawlak created for our Sassy Scrappers Group. Thanks Celia!
Hey everyone, just want to share another video of a paper bag mini album I made for a friends’ daughter who is graduating this year. Her school colors are Red and White. I got the idea for the paper bag mini album from a tutorial by Steffogal1.
It’s that time of year. Graduation! Just wanted to share a couple of graduation cards I made. I used the Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge to cut the graduation cap and the inside sentiment. I used the Lady Couture paper from DCWV for the red tasseled card and the Tattered Time paper also from DCWV for the green tasseled card. The tassels coordinate with the school colors. The cards are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
